Royal Russell School is a leading educational institution, offering education for children aged 3-18 years.
The project aimed to deliver a modern learning environment that prioritises sustainability and fosters a strong sense of community.
Planning consent was granted in June 2024 for the demolition of the existing Junior School and the erection of a replacement Junior School including Multi-Use Games Area, sports pitch, play and landscaped areas, access and plant, an other associated works.
TTP provided transport related advise for the proposal and prepared a number of documents to support the application including a Transport Statement, a School Travel Plan, a Delivery & Servicing Plan and a Waste Management Plan.
TTP advised Berkeley Homes in securing permission for the significant regeneration of Malt Street, part of the Old Kent Road Opportunity Area. With delivery in phases, the scheme will provide over 1,400 new homes, 7,000 sqm of commercial and retail space, new play areas and a substantial area of public realm.
We were delighted to support Surrey County Cricket Club’s plans to increase stadium capacity at the Kia Oval by 7,500 seats and create additional hospitality and conference areas, a new café, club shop and ticket office. TTP analysed spectator arrival times and travel modes, prepared assessment material to accompany the planning application, undertook the detail design of the highway works for the new access arrangements and assisted with construction traffic management approvals. TTP provided transport planning advice to Red Door Ventures and subsequently to Populo Living to secure approval at the Plaistow Hub a twin site residential-led mixed-use development on land either side of Plaistow Road, and adjacent to the underground station. The project will deliver over 180 new homes with retail, gym and community uses at street level. We also advised Populo in respect of transport related construction matters and pre-construction issues including a stopping-up application.
The site is located opposite the iconic Gillette building adjacent to a busy junction on the A4 in Isleworth. Working with Matthew Allchurch Architects, TTP helped Access Self Storage obtain planning consent to redevelop this long vacant site in 2020. The scheme comprises 11,000 sqm of self-storage, and 900 sqm of flexible, lettable office space. In addition to planning, TTP produced the detailed design for the highway works surrounding the site.
We were pleased to be chosen by Squire & Partners in their conversion of the former Bon Marche department store which enabled the relocation of over 200 staff to Brixton from their studios in Kings Cross. A collaboration between Derwent London and Ennismore, TTP provided transport planning services for the redevelopment of Wedge House, Blackfriars Road, to provide a 192 bed Hoxton branded hotel with restaurant and rooftop bar and 3,900sqm of office space. With a limited site footprint and an immediate frontage to the cycle superhighway this project required early buy-in from the highway authorities in respect of the servicing strategy. We supported the client team through the subsequent technical approval of the highway works and have since prepared travel plans and delivery plans to discharge relevant conditions and obligations.
TTP provided transport planning and detailed highway design services for Valor Real Estates’ redevelopment of the former Showcase Leisure Park, Beckton, to provide approximately 20,000 sqm of flexible light industrial and warehousing space with associated improvements to access and parking.
We were delighted to work on a School campus redevelopment project on behalf of the Welsh Education Partnership (WEPCo) for a new 1,300 pupil campus incorporating Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools. It was the first project delivered under the Welsh 21st Century Schools MIM programme. We advised on matters including access, pick-up and drop-off, parking, active travel and we undertook detailed junction modelling based on a re distribution of vehicular trips. Through consultation with Flintshire County Council, we were able to agree all highways / transport matters with approval granted in January 2022
Located just outside Sandwich, Kent and open to visitors in July 2022 this purpose-built sport, leisure and tourist attraction was submitted for planning against a background of Covid restrictions, with TTP relying on a combination of first principles assumptions and historic data in order to assess the visitor demand, traffic impact and parking requirements of the proposal and demonstrate its suitability to Kent County Council.
TTP advised Derwent London on the transport planning and highway design requirements of the Featherstone Building redevelopment, located in the Old Street area and positioned opposite Derwent’s White Collar Factory, for which we have also secured the discharge of post-planning conditions. TTP supported Red Door Ventures / Populo Living with the planning applications and subsequent discharge of transport related conditions to create 185 new homes in the very accessible location of East Ham through the conversion of the former Town Hall Annexe and the redevelopment of the former Didsbury Centre. TTP provided transport planning advice associated with the redevelopment of the former Travelodge site to create an additional 10,000 sqm floorspace anchored by Next. Located adjacent to the A19 Trunk Road and Silverlink Interchange, our role included liaison with the consultant team acting for Highways England as well as the local highway authority.
TTP provided transport related advice regarding parking, servicing and access for this mixed-use development proposal which secured planning permission in 2016. The scheme allows the regeneration of the existing shopping centre to provide over 900 homes, new shopping and leisure opportunities, health centre, office space and allocates land for a primary school.
We provided expert witness support to the applicant at a Compulsory Purchase Order inquiry held in 2022.
TTP is advising 9Yards to secure additional floor space and other improvements at Roaring Meg retail park in Stevenage.
TTP provided transport planning consultancy in support of the refurbishment and expansion of the Carnegie Library building, in Herne Hill. Carnegie was recategorised as a self-service neighbourhood library, with the addition of community rooms and an area excavated to create a gym /healthy living space at basement level.
TTP were retained through development managers Londonewcastle to provide transport planning advice for the redevelopment of the former Dagenham Ford site, located next to Plaistow underground station. A relatively large site, and part of Strategic Site 29 in the Council’s Core Strategy, the approved scheme incorporates community and retail uses as well as 320 new homes. The site has since been purchased by the Department for Education.
